SPONTANEOUS RUPTURE OF BLEEDING PANCREATIC PSEUDOCYST INTO GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT: A REPORT OF TWO RARE CASES
Abstract
Bleeding pancreatic pseudocyst’s rupture into adjacent organs is a rare, but potentially fatal complication of pancreatitis requiring quick management. Timing of the rupture cannot be accurately predicted but prompt diagnosis and surgical management is essential to prevent further bleeding.
We describe two cases of bleeding pseudocysts with spontaneous rupture into colon and stomach, respectively, which were successfully treated with emergency surgery.
