WORKING CAPITAL PERFORMANCE EFFICIENCY: A STUDY ON SELECT PAPER MILLS IN INDIA
Abstract
Working capital plays the vital role in the business as the role of heart in the human body. Just like heart gets blood and circulates the same in the body, in the same way, in working capital, funds are generated and then circulated in the business. As and when this circulation stops, the business become lifeless. Working capital plays the vital role in the business as the role of heart in the human body. Just like heart gets blood and circulates the same in the body, in the same way, in working capital, funds are generated and then circulated in the business. As and when this circulation stops, the business become lifeless. So, that the working capital management is an important for the business. Based on that the study have been made to attempt to find out the efficiency of working capital in paper mills in India namely, Tamil Nadu Newsprint Limited, JK Paper Limited and West Coast Paper Mills Limited. Performance index, Utilisation index and efficiency index are used to analyse the working capital efficiency.
