SECURITY AND PRIVACY CHALLENGES AND ISSUES IN SOCIAL MEDIA – A COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS REPORT
Abstract
Social media is not only a way for the user to connect with their friends and family, but it is also a way for us to connect with the worldwide in general. That’s why the social media acts of harm committed against us online from trolling and harassment, to defamation and outright fraud are more severe. Although advice on how to address financial-oriented identity theft is common, for softer forms of identity theft, like social media account hijacking, there seem to be fewer resources available to victims. This research describes on preventing the identity theft that is happening in facebook.
A high security enabled pass code as biometrics is provided to login the facebook page and if the user wants to download the photo from social media, they are provided with entering the password for downloading and more prevention on identity theft on social media.
