PRODUCTION COEFFICIENT ANALYSIS OF INDIAN PRINTING INDUSTRY

Abstract


This study on the Indian printing and service activities related to printing industry of Group 222 of Annual Survey of Industries attempts to provide a production coefficient analysis covering the period between 1998-99 to 2015-16. It uses average and incremental output-capital ratio, average and incremental output-labour ratio, comparison between the growth of total remuneration and labour productivity, combined input efficiency and annual average growth rate of output and input variables, return to scale of printing industry. This study finds that along with increase in capital there is also increase in labour with fluctuating efficiency.
