CALCIUM CARBONATE – A NOVEL PHARMACEUTICAL EXCIPIENT

Abstract


Calcium carbonate, scientifically known as CaCO3, is a common additive used in pharmaceutical industry. It can be used a color additive, and is a fine, white, synthetically prepared powder consisting essentially of precipitated calcium carbonate (CaCO3). This paper discusses about Calcium Carbonate with respect to Pharma Industry.
