A STUDY ON CUSTOMER’S PERCEPTION REGARDING ATM CARD SERVICES OF PUBLIC SECTOR BANKS IN TIRUCHIRAPPALLI TOWN

Abstract


The Automated Teller Machine (ATM) has become an integral part of our life and society. ATM is effectively reached out a large customer’s base at lowest cost. At present most of the banks have networking systems for their e-banking services like ATMs. A network connected ATMs of various banks had resulted in the improvement of customer’s benefits and customers services. This study aims at identifying the users and challenges faced by customers of Public Sector Banks in Tiruchirappalli Town. This study revealed withdraw in cash through ATM was very convenient and majority of the respondents had used ATM services regularly. It is recommended that the banks should add facility of depositing cash in ATM Centre. The research found that more than 50 percent of the total respondents have shown their dissatisfaction to various listed statements related to problems of ATM services. So, banking sector should work in the direction to reduce the percentages of the respondents who are agreeing that they have problems while using electronic banking.
