A STUDY ON BRAND PREFERENCE OF WASHING MACHINES WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO TIRUCHIRAPPALLI CITY

Abstract
Washing machine is one of the widely used home appliances which used to wash the cloths. India is one of the fast developing countries in the world. The use of a washing machine is a convenient way of washing clothes. It is not only saves time but also saves body energy. The object of present study is to examine the consumer brand preference towards washing machine. This study covered the area of Tiruchirappalli city in Tamilnadu. A structured questionnaire was administered to obtain information on selected variables to study the brand preference towards washing machine. Finally, the information from 90 respondents representing the cross section of population was collected. The data so collected has been analysed by the application of appropriate statistical tools. The result reveals that the factors influencing brand preference of consumers towards washing machine. On the basis of findings, few important suggestions were offered for the benefit of marketers and consumers.
