This is possible only with the cooperation of corporate and public.  In this paper, the researcher discussed about the plastic ban initiative with reference to Coimbatore city and also the response among the consumers towards the implementation of this initiative by the government of Tamilnadu. The method used for survey is convenient sampling method. The respondents were chosen from Coimbatore.
