ISSUES OF TIBETAN WOMEN IN AN EXILE AND WAY FORWARD

Abstract


This paper discussed about issues of Tibetan Women in an Exile and way forward. The present study gives insights into the lives of Tibetan women from the feminist standpoint. The researcher has decided to include religion as a leading determinant impacting their lives. The data is collected using primary and secondary sources in Dharamshala in June 2015-16. Undoubtedly, Buddhist teachings promoting ‘gender equality’ have had a significant impact on the Tibetan population.
