ISOLATED TUBERCULOSIS OF CALCANEUM: A RARE CASE REPORT

Abstract


Tubercular involvement of foot bones always have delay in diagnosis because of low incidence, lack of awareness in the mind of the treating physician and simulation with chronic osteomyelitis, Madura foot. High index of suspicion required to make early diagnosis and prevent complications. We are reporting a case of isolated tubercular involvement of calcaneum in a 30 year old male. Patient was managed with debridement and Antitubercular therapy. Follow-up period was uneventful.
