HAWALA SYSTEM INTHE DIGITAL ERA

Abstract


There are lots of Indians working in abroad especially in gulf countries. They all eventually send money to their homes. Most of the time they send money to their native place .and most of them use illegal channels like Hawala systems to send money even in this digital era. The paper tries to understand what Hawala is and why people choose it rather than banking and digital fund transfer methods the problems associated with Hawala transactions are also included in this paper.
