LARGE SOLID URETHRAL TUMORS IN FEMALES – REPORT OF THREE CASES WITH REVIEW

Abstract


Three cases of large solid tumors arising from distal urethra which were proven to be Leiomyoma, a benign tumor originating from smooth muscle are reported. Simple surgical enucleation was adequate in all the three cases with no recurrence observed at one year follow up. Knowledge of this rare entity may alleviate apprehension of suspected malignancy.
