SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF RURAL WOMEN IN DAIRY CO-OPERATIVES, TAMIL NADU

Abstract


Agriculture and Dairying are directly interconnected in India. Rural women show an important role in dairying which is very important for both diet and livelihood protection. Dairying has huge potential to create employment and has facilitated in poverty alleviation in rural area of Tamil Nadu. It offers regular earning and employment to lot of rural families all over the year, particularly to women thereby getting better quality of their livelihood. Women have been at the front point of dairy cooperative movement, which was initially carried below the Operation Flood Programme. Tamil Nadu government have been taken a variety of actions for the growth of rural women. The aim of this work is to analyse on Sustainable Development of Rural Women in Dairy Co-operatives, Tamil Nadu
