IMPACT OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ON ORGANISATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOUR: THE MEDIATING ROLE OF JOB SATISFACTION - A REVIEW
Abstract
The world is looking forward to high performing organisations that would provide high job satisfaction to their employees, which gives rise to greater connection of the employees with the organisation and its accompanying performance. The aim of this paper is to study the impact of emotional intelligence (EI) on organisational citizenship behaviour (OCB) while using job satisfaction (JS) as a mediator. The research is expected to measure the two dimensions of OCB (OCBI and OCBO) and to examine how these organisational citizenship behaviours are related to the job satisfaction of the employees. The mediatory role of job satisfaction in the effect of EI on OCB is confirmed in the study.
